2025 Upgrades

The very dated (museum piece, perhaps?) Furuno chart plotter and radar along with the temperamental depth sounder have been replaced with the latest and some of the most advanced technology from Garmin Marine. This system includes the latest premium charts pre-loaded for the San Juans and Gulf Islands and one of the most advanced radars which includes the ability to overlay on the 12” Multi-Function Display (MFD) and provide doppler tracking of targets.

Out with the old and in with the new - the new Garmin 8612 compared to the dated Furuno.

Sea of Memories is now equipped with Automatic Identification System (AIS) which displays any AIS-equipped vessel nearby. AIS brings some essential safety features should you ever be in distress – both the USCG and nearby vessels can easily identify your position and come to your aid simply by pressing the ‘DISTRESS’ button on the VHF. AIS really is an essential safety feature and we’re thrilled to provide it. It is really impressive to see all of the technology from Garmin – premium charts, radar overlay, and AIS – all displayed on the gorgeous 12” MFD.

Upgrades include:

  • 12” Garmin Multi-Function Display, GPS, Chart plotter (Garmin 8612)

  • Garmin GMR Fantom 24x Radar

  • Garmin AIS 800 w/ upgraded VHF/AIS Antenna

  • Airmar Smart Depth, Speed, Temp Sensor

  • NMEA 2000 Network

  • LED lights throughout the vessel

  • Wired in battery tender for T/T Sea of Memories

We think this massive electronics upgrade will really enhance your experience cruising aboard Sea of Memories.
